Our Story

ShootZone was born in late 2019 from a simple frustration: finding good, free shooting games online was nearly impossible. Every site demanded downloads, required sign-ups, or buried its games behind paywalls and intrusive ads. A small team of game developers andFPS enthusiasts — veterans of studios like Lionhead, Bohemia Interactive, and several indie shops — decided to do something about it.

We started with a single HTML5 canvas game: a target-shooting prototype that we uploaded on a whim. Within three months, it had attracted over 10,000 players. That response convinced us we were on to something. We expanded the team, refined our development process, and began building out what would become ShootZone — a curated portal for free, browser-native shooting games that anyone can play in seconds.

Today, ShootZone hosts three fully developed games — Target Master FPS, Sniper Elite Online, and Zombie Survival Arena — along with an expanding library of expert guides written by seasoned players and competitive gamers. We've stayed true to our founding principle: gaming should be free, accessible, and immediate. No downloads, no sign-ups, no credit cards. Just open your browser and play.

Our name — ShootZone — is a tribute to that moment every shooter player knows: the instant you line up the perfect shot, the crosshairs settle, and everything else fades away. That's the feeling we engineer every game to deliver.

Our Mission

Our mission is straightforward and unyielding: make high-quality shooting games accessible to everyone, everywhere, for free. We believe that the joy of gaming shouldn't be gated behind hardware requirements, software installations, or subscription fees.

We want anyone with a computer, a browser, and an internet connection to be able to experience the thrill of lining up a long-range sniper shot, the tension of surviving a zombie horde, and the satisfaction of landing a series of perfect headshots. That means building games that run on modest hardware, load instantly, and perform flawlessly in every modern browser — from Chrome on a budget laptop to Safari on an iPad.

Beyond games themselves, we're committed to educating and empowering our community. Our article library covers everything from beginner aiming techniques to advanced game design theory. We want ShootZone to be not just a place to play, but a place to learn and grow as a gamer.

We're also committed to responsible gaming. We don't use predatory monetization tactics. Our games are free not because they hide costs behind loot boxes or energy systems, but because we genuinely believe gaming should be free. We fund our operations through ethical, non-intrusive advertising.

What We Offer

ShootZone is more than a game portal — it's a complete shooting game experience. Here's what you'll find on our platform:

Three Handcrafted Games: Each game on ShootZone was built from the ground up by our in-house development team. We don't license third-party titles or host scraped content. Target Master FPS is a precision reflex trainer with 50+ escalating challenge levels. Sniper Elite Online delivers long-range marksmanship across 40+ handcrafted sniper missions. Zombie Survival Arena pits you against endless waves of undead with weapon upgrades and strategic depth.

Eight Expert Guides and Counting: Our editorial team — made up of competitive gamers, game design graduates, and industry veterans — publishes detailed articles covering aiming techniques, game reviews, historical deep-dives, weapon strategy, and survival tactics. New articles are published every week.

A Growing Community: With over 50,000 monthly active players and counting, ShootZone has built a genuine community of shooting game enthusiasts. Our leaderboards track top scores globally, and our articles are regularly shared in FPS gaming communities across the web.

Why ShootZone?

There are hundreds of gaming sites on the internet. Here's why players keep coming back to ShootZone:

Quality Without Compromise: Every game on ShootZone is built to a quality standard that we'd be proud to put our studio name on. We test extensively across browsers and devices. We iterate on game feel based on player feedback. We don't ship games until they're genuinely fun to play — not just functional.

Safety and Trust: We never ask for personal information beyond what's strictly necessary. We don't sell your data. We don't use exploitative monetization. Our ads are clearly labeled and non-intrusive. When you play on ShootZone, you can trust that your experience is safe and your privacy is respected.

Community-First Approach: Our players aren't just numbers to us. We read every piece of feedback, monitor our community channels, and use player input to drive our development roadmap. When our community asked for harder difficulty levels in Target Master, we added them. When players wanted more weapon variety in Zombie Survival Arena, we delivered it. Your voice shapes ShootZone.

Instant Access: We built our entire platform around the principle of zero friction. You don't need to create an account. You don't need to download anything. You don't need to wait for a loading screen. Click a game, and you're playing in under two seconds.

Meet the Team

ShootZone is run by a small, passionate team of gamers, developers, and writers who believe that free gaming should be just as good — if not better — than paid alternatives.

Marcus "Hawkeye" Reyes — Founder & Lead Developer: A former level designer at a major AAA studio, Marcus built the first ShootZone prototype in his spare time. With 12 years of game development experience and a lifelong passion for shooting games, he leads all technical development. He holds several speedrun records on his own games (though he claims they're "just for testing purposes").

Elena Vasquez — Game Designer: Elena brings 8 years of game design experience from indie and studio environments. She's the creative force behind Zombie Survival Arena's upgrade systems and enemy wave design. When not designing games, she competes in local esports tournaments and coaches youth gaming teams.

Jin "Ghost" Park — UI/UX & Frontend: Jin is responsible for the look and feel of every ShootZone page and game interface. Trained as both a web developer and visual designer, he ensures that every pixel serves the player experience. He's obsessed with crosshair design and has strong opinions about font rendering.

Sophie Andersen — Lead Writer & Community Manager: Sophie has been writing about video games for 6 years, with bylines in several major gaming publications. She leads our editorial content, crafts our game guides, and manages our growing community across social channels. She specializes in making complex game mechanics accessible to beginners.

Raj Patel — QA & Player Support: Raj is the person who makes sure every game ships bug-free and every player gets a response. With a background in software testing and a personal passion for competitive FPS games, he approaches QA as a player first and a tester second. He currently holds the #3 all-time score on Target Master FPS.
